In January 2010, Max's nursery (Nursery Prague) will open its gates to children, including children age 12 months.

OUR AIM

Max's nursery – Nursery Prague - is a preschool facility for children from the age of 12 months. Our aim is to create an atmosphere where children can feel natural and improve necessary skills with regards to their individuality.

Our team – Nursery Prague - helps children to socialize, develop communication skills, empathy and a whole scale of other important aspects. Max's nursery is here for all children whose parents are concerned about preschool education and learning. Nursery Prague is a nursery that becomes a socializing place where children acquire elementary skills by developing their character in all respects, while we teach them basic social and hygienic habits. We make the most of children’s natural curiosity to give them new knowledge through playing games, singing songs, reading books, etc.

Through playing games and entertainment, we also try to achieve a completely natural environment where the children feel comfortable and are thus able to develop their own unique personalities.

We put an emphasis on exercise, which is possible due to the beautiful atmosphere of a functional-style building that also has a big garden and a park nearby. The peaceful and pleasant atmosphere is underlined by minimal traffic.

The selection of quality personnel is very important to us. Because of our six years of experience, we have employees, who not only have the corresponding education but also lots of practice supported by a whole range of courses and seminars. We also support the continuing education of our employees. Our cooperation with Dětská Mensa ČR and Centrum Nadání, o.s. is very contributive.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the opening hours?
Opening hours are flexible, depending on the parent's needs. At present, the opening hours are from 7:30 to 13:00. In case of opening earlier or prolonging opening hours, we are ready to oblige with the parents' needs at the latest within one week of making a request.

What should the intensiveness of attendance be?
If the mother is not fully busy, we recommend a milder attendance, about twice or four times a week.

What about the distribution of the children in the nursery?
Children at Max's nursery are divided into heterogeneous groups within a class, respecting children’s interests and needs with respect to age, knowledge, adaptation, energy, etc. Of course, our top priority is also enough space for the personnel to be able to give enough attention and care to each child.

What about English teaching?
We discuss this very important issue first with the parents. It is necessary for the child to adapt to a new environment. When getting acquainted with the first English words, we fully respect the child's natural development. The Anglophone atmosphere itself evokes something new by a very sensitive and natural approach, and the child accepts this. The verbal part of communication at this age is only a small part of complete communication, which also depends on mimicry, gestures, intonation, context, etc. Therefore, it is also possible to accept children whose native language is different than Czech or English.

I would like to spend the first days at the nursery with my child. Is it possible?
We recommend this possibility. However, it is necessary to take into account the interests of other children and namely the adaptation process of a new child. The adaptation process will be easiest the sooner the child “loses” his or her dependency on mother or father, although only for a short time. It is a relatively short process. Our teachers have a lot of experience in this field, so we can guarantee to all parents an approach with a maximum assertiveness to each individual. Our teachers inform the parents on the adaptation process itself or attendance when arriving at or leaving the nursery. Ongoing information thus can help the parents to completely satisfy to their expectations.
